Caroline Skanne is a poet, writer, artist, editor (currently hedgerow & previously Blithe Spirit: the Journal of the British Haiku Society) & publisher (wildflower poetry press).

She is obsessed with robins, wildflowers & short poems.

Born in Sweden she moved to the UK to study & spent 15 years in London, before relocating to Kent where she lives by the River Medway with her family, cats & dogs.

Educated in London, she has an MA in Anthropology & Cultural Politics from Goldsmiths’s University. Her thesis explored the link between gender stereotypes & identity in children’s literature, with particular reference to the female hero. She grew up on Astrid Lindgren’s Pippi Longstockings, or rather, she never grew up…
