Caroline Skanne is a poet, writer, multimedia artist, editor & publisher.
She is obsessed with robins, wildflowers & small poems.
Born in Sweden she moved to the UK as a teenager & spent 15 years in London’s East End, before relocating to Kent where she lives by the River Medway with her family, cats & dog.
Educated in London, she has an MA in Anthropology & Cultural Politics from Goldsmiths’s University. Her thesis explored the link between gender stereotypes & identity in children’s literature, with particular reference to the female hero. She grew up on Astrid Lindgren’s Pippi Longstockings, or rather, she never grew up!
Her trio of poetry books paper wings (haiku, senryu & haiga), wild blossom (tanka & tanka art) & driftwood (small poems & artwork) will be released in 2018.
